If you love the sound of the cello, wait until you hear the sound of four of them playing all together! Come hear the Augusta Cello Society for a concert of music arranged for four cellos. From Purcell and Mozart to Henry Mancini and Beatles.
The Augusta Cello Society was started in the hopes of increasing interest and awareness of cello playing, and to promote artistic collaboration in the Augusta area. They seek to inspire other cellists in the area from all walks of life to join them for cello playing fun, and to inspire many others to come and listen.
Cellists performing are Chris Connolly, Christine Crookall, Justin Resley, and Amy Sawicz. All four have been involved with many CSRA musical organizations including Augusta Symphony, Aiken Civic Orchestra, and Carolina Academy of Music. Audience members should bring their own chairs. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved inside the church.
